Memebership

You will need to become a member of the Quarter Pony Assn. Aus. Inc to register your Quarter Pony/s.

​

> Family Membership – a family that consists of 2 Adults and any or all children 17 years of age or under.

> Adult Membership – single membership for persons 18 years or older

> Associate Membership - for persons with interests within the assn; either for business or pleasure, a professional trainer or

   non-Quarter Pony owners who will be showing for a financial member. 

> Junior Membership – for persons 5 years of age up to and including 17 years of age, junior applications must be signed by a parent

   or guardian.

We've kept our fees as low as we possibly can - join now and save!

Our current membership fees per year are:

  Adult Membership $30.00

  Family Membership $50.00

  Junior Membership $15.00

  Associate Membership $20.00

  * Junior members who reach the age of 18 during the first half of the financial year (1st day of August to the last day of January of the next year) will be issued an Adult membership – they will be entitled to vote and may apply to become an Amateur Owner.

  * Junior members aged 17 at time of membership application or renewal each year who, upon turning 18 during the second half of the financial year (1st day of Feb to the last day of July of the financial year) will be issued Youth membership for the financial year.

  * Junior members are only permitted to have 2 Quarter Ponies registered in their name, excluding Stallions.

> Amateur Owner – youth attaining 18 years of age and adults who have not been ‘professional’ for a period of no less than 3 years.  

To apply for an Amateur Owner card you must hold an Adult Membership.  *Professional refers to a person who receives either sponsorship or remuneration, either directly or indirectly for breaking, training, schooling, driving, halter & show preparation, showing

 or competing in halter or under saddle at any event; conducting clinics, seminars or giving instruction to any other person in showing, competition, training or riding. Prize money received at a show is not considered remuneration.

Multiple Ownership:

>  Applications made in the name of a partnership – all partners must be members of the Assn. The application must be accompanied by a letter of authority signed by all partners granting permission for one person to act as ‘nominee’ on behalf of the partnership.

> Registration applications made in the name of a corporation – the application must be accompanied by a letter of authority nominating an agent to act on behalf of the corporation.

> Family membership – any financial family member may submit a registration application in his or her name; applications submitted by members under the age of 18 must include the signature of one financial parent or guardian.

* Financial membership is also required for showing in Quarter Pony classes at shows and other events catering for Quarter Ponies, and to enroll in our yearly awards program which recognizes your achievements with a very generous point awarding system - ROMS points are also accumulated with your accrued results.

When financial membership lapses - the Quarter Pony registration is suspended and will not be eligible to compete in classes designated for foal recorded or registered stock at shows (Quarter Pony classes) until membership has been renewed.
